I'm Back!!

Yes, I know it's been a whole month since I said I was on my way into surgery, but it's kind of taken this long for me to recover enough from the whole ordeal to focus on writing two words together.

For those not in the know, I went in for gastric bypass surgery. Well, let's just say it wasn't as routine as we would have liked. Sometime after surgery I threw a clot that went into a bad place. Of course we didn't know this until my blood pressure bottomed out and my insides ruptured. Even so, they couldn't figure out what was going on so they rushed me into surgery to seek out the problem and...luckily for me my surgeon is a flippin' genius. So he fixed me up and after a blood transfusion and almost a week in the ICU I was finally able to come home.

But wait. Don't think the gal my surgeon has nicknamed 'Trouble' is done. No. About 10 days after my release I wake up with screaming pain in my back and I can't draw breath for my life. The verdict? You got it...pneumonia/pleurisy. Can I just say it FREAKIN HURTS! Anyway I could barely move until about two days ago. Now I am finally able to breathe and move around and basically feel normal. That's why I am late doing my blog here. It's going to take another week or so before I am healed up so I ask you all to bear with me if you've written me email. I will get around to it eventually, I promise! Just give me time :) For those of you who sent me well wishes, I thank you. As you can see, I really needed it!!

Hugs and kitties
Jacki Frank

OMG! What an ordeal! I wish you the best and hope you get well soon, to a full, healthy recovery.

Ms. Frank:
Thank you so much for gifting us with your Nightwalker Series. I got "hooked" with Shadowdellers and haven't been able to stop reading since then. All your books have captivated me and woke up brain cells that I didn't even know existed.
Take care of yourself. My mother, sister and brother have all had the surgery that you've recently experienced. Their lives have been changed and I've seen not only the physical changes, but also the emotional and spiritual changes as well. I'm certain you'll get through these challenges you've experienced and press on forcefully!
Thank you again - you're writing is like a supercharged vitamin for the brain!

Wow! So sorry you had to go through all of that, but very happy to hear that you are on the mend. Take all the time you need to getting better :)

Lots of hugs!

I cant believe how much trouble you had. To think that I am always the one to have all the terrible luck. I am really glad that you are well on your way to a full recovery. I know your pain, the last time I got pneumonia I thought I was having a heart attack, considering there was so much pain that I couldnt take a breath. I can sympathize.
Okay I have to say this is my first time to blog or email you. I always felt like....I dont know but anyways, your characters in the Nightwalker series have me wanting each and every one of them. I guess that I would have to say that Trace is the one I want the most. I actually didnt think that after Noah there would be another one I wanted more. Hahahah I guess that you fooled me. Ecstacy was amazing. I loved getting to know more about the Shadowdwellers. Thank you for all you do for us crazed fans. :D

I cant wait to read the book of Jasmine...that is if you are still planning that. I would really love to know if Noah will father any of his own children. I mean...if Gideon healed her properly, wouldnt that be possible???

Just finished Ecstasy yesterday and it was fantastic!! I can't wait for Rapture to come out. I have been an avid follower since I first picked up Jacob while trolling the book rack for something to read at the beach. I have loved all of your books and they just keep getting better.

Thanks!!

Hi! It's good to hear that your all better, I admit I didn't even know you were... how to say... well you know what I mean, hopefully! I am very distraught at the moment because I cannot get ahold of... Noah, Ectasy or Damien. And it is VERY heart wrenching because your books are equally balanced! So in two days I will have to go to the library and habla with them about getting my hands on those books.
I first started with Jacob and it was... wow! So then I went to the library and checked out Gideon and I really liked it, espcially the epilogue! A baby! I'm going to read Elijah next, hopefully becuase I like the pairing, so... wah!
*hugs* love your books, love you for writing them. I'd gladly give you a hug anyday.

Oh, my goodness, how awful!

I've just discovered your writing, Ms. Frank. Finished reading Jacob's story last week and am waiting for the others to arrive via Amazon.ca.

I wish you all the best, a speedy healing, and much continued success.

Sending positive healing vibes (Light).

Wow... I hope that you are having a speedy and uneventful recovery.

I love your Nighwalker and Shadowdweller series. Can't wait for your next book to come out.

Take care. ;)

Wishing you a speedy recovery. My mom had a gastric band put on a little over a year ago - and it has made a huge difference in her quality of life. While it's not quite the ordeal that you went through - I am certain she would tell you it will be worth it - just hang in there!

ECSTATIC to hear that we will have another book to wrap things up with Ruth... I absolutely love the Nightwalker series. And I picked up Ecstasy when it first came out - and it is at the top of my "need to read" pile now that I have gotten through a few others that I had first... should be able to dive in some time next week. I am sure it will be great!

I hope you are feeling better. Just keep the bigger picture in mind, the end result. Hang in there.

HI Jacki! The last time I talked to you at RAW you said you were going to have the gastric procedure done! Sorry that it has been such an ordeal for you, but I do wish you a much faster and less painful recovery :)

Oh Wow!! How incredibly scary that must have been but Im so pleased that youre finally on the road to recovery. I wish you all the best for a event free time now.

I am just finishing Noah after reading the entire series and totally loving the whole lot of them (although I have to admit I will always have a special place in my heart for Jacob!) I've bought Ecstasy and can't wait to start that.

You truly are a brilliant author and I just wanted you to know that your work brings so much joy into my life. Thank you, thank you, thank you :)

Take care of yourself :)

Get well soon, and congratulations on "Ecstasy". It was a hit at my book club meeting. Magnus has the makings to be one of my favorite characters. Of course Jacob will always have a special place in my heart so long as he is his adorable self. But Magnus, whoa mama, is he a cup full of Serendity hot cocoa or what? Rich with dark flavors, a complex delicacy that I wil gladly partake of and there is no doubt satisfaction is to be had. A consuming fire to warm a cold night's caress and melt the hearts of those romantics with a twist out there. Yep, shout out to all the paranormal romance fan(atic)s. And if that excerpt at the end of "Ecstasy" is any indication of the future shift in Frank's world, I say "huzzah".

Sorry to hear that things took such a bad turn....glad to know you had such a capable doctor taking such good care of you!!! Ecstasy was fabulous!! Can't wait to learn more about the rest of the 'dwellers.

And if you ever need help with WoW, give me a holler....I've been playing for 3 years now...it's addictive!!

I was so worried about you! I know GB can be a dangerous operation to recover from. You just concentrate on getting better...and BTW loved Ecstacy, just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy and appreciate your books!

Jacki,

Get well soon...I'm worried about you, after hearing of your ordeal. I sure hope all is well.

My husband is a WoW general (or something)...he plays for hours, and I mean hours. I'm not sure what realm he plays in, I've often wondered if you two ever had the chance to play together. Wouldn't that be something?

I Loved Ecstasy...great job!!! Still love Jacob tho', he's my favorite.

Again, I hope you are doing well.

Take Care.

Hi - I just wanted to let you know I finished reading the first book, Jacob. I enjoyed it so much and have the next two waiting to go!

I love how the books tie into each other and there is character development. I also have ordered the first of the shadowdwellers series and cannot wait to read it. Keep up the wonderful writing.

Any possibility of audiobooks? I am a voracious listener of books, also. iTunes must love me :)
